We believe that our patients are better served when they are better informed, and we try to offer each and every one of our patients the most informative experience possible during their visit to our office and this website is no different.

The following links are provided for your information, as well as the growing collection of articles that we have written here at Advanced Eyecare of Arizona.

Low Blood Pressure and Glaucoma:
"Low Blood Pressure may be the most important vascular risk factor for the progression of Glaucoma."
Dr. J. Caprioli, discussing his research on the association of blood pressure and Glaucoma.

For patients with Glaucoma that is not well controlled, it is important to check their blood pressure, and make sure that low blood pressure is not part of the problem.
 ~Benjamin Yanofsky, OD, FAAO

Ocular Surface Inflammatory Disease ( Dry Eye Disease) :
Over the past several years, studies have found that Dry Eye Disease has a strong association with Inflammation. Now our office can test the tear film and adjacent glands to determine if our patients might benefit from eye drops or pills that turn-off this "problem" inflammation. The new treatments are, for most patients, more effective and longer lasting than the treatments available just a few years ago.
